Gilded Sentinels
The Gilded Sentinels were the 209th Cohort of the Imperium's Solar Auxilia.[1a] They were among the Auxilia that was bonded to the Blood Angels Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[2]
History
The regiments were among the Imperial forces that defended Imperium Secundus as the Horus Heresy raged. The Gilded Sentinels would later be tasked with aiding the Ultramarines' efforts to replenish the losses they suffered in the Battle of Calth. This led to several of the Sentinels' artillery regiments to be dispatched to recover the Ultramarines' gene-seed that was stored on Talassar, alongside the Luminous Host Solar Auxilia and Judiciar Aster Crohne's Blood Angels forces. However, by then the world was in rebellion after the Night Lords had invaded Talassar and turned some of its population against the Imperium.[1a] Despite the Traitor Legion's efforts, though, the Blood Angels succeeded in reclaiming the Gene-seed from the fortress of Castrum Velx in Velx City.[1b]
The Gilded Sentinels were also among the Solar Auxilia that defend the Blood Angels' homeworld in the Siege of Baal.[2]

The Gilded Sentinels wore grey and gold.[1a]
