Foulstone is a former Dead World turned Shrine World, that is located in The Cauldron area of the Koronus Expanse.[2]
The main settlement on Foulstone is the Monastery of Saint Cognatius, which is maintained by the Order of the Hammer.[3]
History
M41
In 152.M41, the Rogue Trader Synbar Lockhart's fleet was ambushed in Foulstone's orbit by the Aeldari faction known as Crow Spirits. This was the Expanse's first confirmed sighting of the Xenos species and, while Lockhart escaped, a dozen of the Rogue Trader's ships were destroyed.[1]
M42
In M42, the transport vessel Naviica unloaded several thousand refugees from a planet belonging to Rogue Trader House Winterscale which had at first tried and failed to settle on Footfall. The Order of the Hammer at first tried to offer food and water, but the situation quickly devolved into violence with deaths on both sides. The new heir of the Rogue Trader House von Valancius intervened and took control of Foulstone as a new colony.[3]
