Monarchsward is a title held by one of the Barons of a Questor Imperialis Knight House's Exalted Court.^[1a]

They are charged with the defence of their High Monarch on the battlefield. As such they are expected to be not just a great warrior, but also to be loyal above all else.^[1b]
