House Kamidar is an Imperial Knight Questor Imperialis House.[1b] The House's Homeworld is the planet Kamidar and it was ruled by High Queen Orlah Y'Kamidar.[1a]

History

During the Noctis Aeterna, House Kamidar lost contact with the Imperium and became autonomous within the Ironhold Protectorate, though a Torchbearer Fleet of the Indomitus Crusade eventually arrived.[2a]

During the Indomitus Crusade, House Kamidar's Knights took part in the Battle of Gathalamor, as part of the initial forces sent to defend the Shrine World.[1b] This was done by High Queen Orlah, in order to honour the oath her grandfather, and past High King, Laughlen Y'Kamidar had sworn that Kamidar's Knights would always protect Gathalamor. As heir-apparent, Princess Jessivayne Y'Kamidar was given command of this force by her mother[1c], which consisted of five full lances of Knights to defend the Shrine World with.[1b] After the battle was won, Kamidar was honoured for their sacrifice by having the Ironhold Protectorate turned into one of the Crusade's Hub-Fortresses.[1a]

Several years into the Crusade, Battle Group Praxis of Indomitus Crusade Fleet Primus arrived at Kamidar to collect Tithes and resources for their ongoing campaign.[2a] The heavy-handedness of the Imperials combined with Chaos machinations eventually caused the two sides to come to blows[2b], but following the death of Queen Orlah Y'Kamidar at the hands of one of the Hands of Abaddon and the appearance of Red Corsairs a tenuous ceasefire was eventually agreed upon.[2c] Vitrian Messinius was later dispatched by Roboute Guilliman to oversee the garrisoning of the Protectorate.[2d]
