Orlah Y'Kamidar
Orlah Y'Kamidar was the High Queen of House Kamidar.[1a]
History
Before the Battle of Gathalamor initially began, Lord Commander Roboute Guilliman had sent Imperial forces there to defend the Shrine World, until Indomitus Crusade Fleet Primus arrived. House Kamidar was among these early defenders[1b], as High Queen Orlah honoured the oath her grandfather, and past High King, Laughlen Y'Kamidar had sworn that Kamidar's Knights would always protect Gathalamor[1c]. The Queen proudly gave command[1a] of the five full lances of Knights she sent[1b], to her daughter and heir-apparent, Jessivayne Y'Kamidar[1c]
However, Jessivayne later died on campaign. Her decomposing body returned with the Imperium when Battle Group Praxis of Fleet Primus arrived back at Kamidar to collect the Imperial Tithe. The heavy-handedness of the Imperials combined with Admiral Tiberion Ardemus using Jessivayne's body as a bargaining and the machinations of Chaos agents within the Ironhold Protectorate saw the two sides come to blows.[2b]
During the fighting, Queen Orlah battled in her Knight suit against Lareoc Y'Solus, the "beggar Knight", who is allied with the Red Corsairs. Orlah nearly won the duel, but her mortal stabbing wound at the hand of her equerry and secret Black Legion agent Ekria caused her to fail at the last moment and be killed.[2c]
