The 22nd Thetoid Gryphonnes are a Regiment of Tempestus Scions of the Militarum Tempestus.^[1a]

Overview

Known for their fast strikes on the battlefield, their leg muscles are trained to be more powerful, allowing them to race across all terrain with impressive piece regardless of their heavy equipment load. Their vehicles will also sacrifice stability and durability for greater speed.^[1a]

History

Due to their experience fighting Orks on Walbek II^[2a], multiple Gryphonnes Companies were among the Imperial forces that Inquisitor Athocles Van Roth recruited in M42.^[2b] The Inquisitor then used this force to defend himself, as he sought to master using Baddkrasha's Crown on the Ork and Tyranid infested Maiden World Veloria. However using the Xenos device, drew numerous Ork warships to the Crown's location and Van Roth's forces were overrun.^[2a]
