Armour of Zanaris
The Armour of Zanaris is a suit of Silver Templars Gravis Armour, worn by Chapter Master Akilios Zanaris, which became a relic during the Plague Wars.[1]
He commanded the Chapter's forces and led them in a charge against a Nurgle Daemon Prince on Espandor. Zanaris landed the blow that banished the Daemon Prince back to the Warp, but the Silver Templars near it became covered in the Prince's acidic viscera. However while his Battle Brothers' power armour was eaten away by the fluids, Zanaris and his Gravis Armour emerged unscathed. Miraculously, it seemed that the Chapter Master's own courage and fortitude, formed an alloy in that moment with the loyal machine spirit of his armour and its absolute determination to shield him from harm. This led it to be named the Armour of Zanaris and a relic of the Chapter, whose protective boon still persists to this day.[1]
