Artificer Harness
Artificer Harnesses are a unique type of servo-harness used by the Masters and Forge-wrights of the Dark Angels Legion’s Ironwing.[1a]
Overview
These advanced harnesses allowed those senior members of the Ironwing to plug directly into or otherwise interface directly with a variety of arcane machine systems, easily embedding themselves into the cogitation-dense instrumentarium of a Gloriana-class capital ship when integrating with their primary command dais while acting with a vessel’s Castellan[1a], or mingling with the machine spirits of Titans[1c] and other arcana born from the Dark Age of Technology.[1c]
These artificer harnesses would in-load data in bulk and dump it through the connection nodes imbedded in an Astartes’ black carapace directly into his spinal column, negating for the need for the Knight of the Ironwing to visually read, or see incoming data and other information to process it.[1a]
Artificer harnesses also possessed a servo-armature which could unfold, scorpion-like, from around a Knight when needed. The plates of which could further unfold to reveal a variety of mounted tools and weaponry such as servo-arms, flamers, arc claws, and plasma repeaters among other things.[1b]
