Ashterioth
Ashterioth was a Dark Eldar Corsair-Lord.[1a]
A sadistic and cruel torturer, Ashterioth became embroiled in a war for possession of the Fist of Demetrius after raiding the Macharian Crusade warship Lux Imperatoris.[1a] Once discovering the Fists nature, Ashterioth hoped to use it to access the Gate of the Ancients in the Webway in order to acquire lost treasures including the Reality Engine.[1a]
After a battle on Procrastes, he was confronted by both the military genius of Lord Solar Macharius as well as a Space Wolves strikeforce under the Great Wolf Ulrik Grimfang. Ashterioth was forced to flee into the Webway, but the Imperials pursued him.[1c] As Ashterioth reached the Reality Engine, he was wounded by Sergeant Leo Lemuel, who threw a Grenade at the device and destabilized it. The wounded Ashterioth was then confronted by Macharius and Space Wolves under the young Logan Grimnar. Ashterioth was killed when Macharius emptied his Bolt Pistol into his chest.[1d]
