Asmodeus
Asmodeus was a Librarian of the Dark Angels Legion active during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]
Biography
Asmodeus was once a member of his Legion's Librarius. However, following the Edict of Nikaea, he complied with the decree to not make use of his psychic abilities and reentered service as a Legionary.[1]
In the Horus Heresy, Asmodeus was part of the task force that Lion El'Jonson mustered when he learned that a secret Mechanicum facility in the Perditus System was under threat. He was aboard the Invincible Reason when it was trapped in a warp rift by the Night Lords vessel Avenging Shadow. While there, he called on his psychic powers to protect the Invincible Reason's bridge from the warp-creatures that had materialised aboard the ship. Brother-Redemptor Nemiel called for Asmodeus's execution as punishment for breaking the Edict. However, on learning from Seneschal Corswain and Chief Navigator Fiana that psychic attacks seemed to be the only effective weapons against the warp creatures, Lion El'Jonson overruled Nemiel and allowed Asmodeus to keep using his abilities. Nemiel protested at this, and the Lion killed him in response.[1]
