Aspect Armour
Aspect Armour is manufactured by the Eldar for use by their specialist Aspect Warriors.[1]
Overview
Aspect Armour uses psychic engineering to construct a psycho-sensitive material which reacts instantly to movement by the wearer and moulds and reshapes itself to provide a tight fit, making it ideal for combat. It stiffens on impact much like Mesh Armour although it also includes additional rigid plating to reinforce it further.[1a] Dark Reapers, Shining Spears, Striking Scorpions, Warp Spiders and Fire Dragons all have heavier plate armour for improved protection when compared to Dire Avengers, Howling Banshees and Swooping Hawks, each one needing the extra manoeuvrability lost when using heavier armour.

Aspect Armour is psycho-reactive and will interface with the psyche of the wearer and their Spirit Stone. Those who can not properly control their psyche will be overcome by the anger, fear, and other negative emotions and memories of not just themselves but past wearers, causing them to collapse in a heap upon the ground. Thus donning Aspect Armour comes fairly late in the training of new Aspect Warriors after extensive meditative and physical training.[4] Wearers can also alter the psychically attuned metafabrics of their armour with a few simple minutes of concentration, changing the colours of their armour as they desire.[6]
All aspect armour is sealed and contains its own air supply, rendering their bearers immune to choke grenades, toxin gas grenades, and scare gas grenades - in the same way that Astartes Power Armour and Terminator Armour does for Space Marines.[1b] As with all Eldar armour types, they may have Void Suits integrated into them for operations in a vacuum.[8]
Korlandril lifted the helmet above his head and lowered it purposefully, encasing himself fully from toe to scalp. With a hiss of air, the suit sealed itself.
All Aspect warriors wield the equivalent of Infravisors in order to see through smoke, such as that of smoke grenades, either worn on their person or integrated into the helms of their Aspect Armour.[1c]
Heavy Aspect Armour incorporates thick armoured plates but retain great flexibility, and is known to be among the best in the Galaxy.[2]
