The term Avatar has more than one meaning, depending on the context. It may mean:
- An Avatar – a creature created by the Eldar from an idealised spirit (e.g. the remnant of an Eldar God) housed within a carrecenad Spirit Stone given animus when an Eldar merges their soul with that of the spirit within.
- Avatar of Khaine – An incarnation of the Eldar God Kaela Mensha Khaine.
- Avatar of Ynnead – The Yncarne, an incarnation of the Eldar God Ynnead.
- Avatar of the Laughing God – An incarnation of the Eldar God Cegorach.
