The Avernes System is a Imperial system in the far east of the Ultima Segmentum, close to the borders of Ultramar.[1a]
It is a quadruple star system, too unstable to host any natural planets.[1b]
Known Locations
- Avernes Principal - A large furious blue giant star. The largest star of the star system. According to time-honoured stellar classification this was a beta five type star (β V).[1b]
- Avernes Secondary Alpha - A orange star that is locked in orbit of Avernes Principal. [1b]
- Avernes Secondary Beta - A orange star that is locked in orbit of Avernes Principal. [1b]
- Avernes Tertiary - A compact white burnt to a cinder of a star that darts between the other three star on a helical orbit. [1b]
- Pontus Avernes - An Artificial World that is located in a rare place of gravitational stability in the system, held in place by the gravity of the four suns. [1b]
