Aye'hal is a Shas'ui in the T'au Empire, who commanded a Crisis Battlesuit Team.[1b]

History

In late M41, his Team was part of Commander Braun'wa's forces[1b] that were by the T'au Empire to "condition" one of the Vespid's leadership class strains, while it was in a pupa state. However before the Commander reached its isolated Hive, the pupa was attacked[1a] by the Shadow Hawks Chapter[1c] as it was being escorted outside[1a] by the Mal'aav and Mal'bas,[1c] Royal Bodyguard Stingwings[1b]. Led by Captain Urotriorchis,[1c] the Space Marines had been charged by the Ordo Xenos with capturing the Vespid leadership pupa, so that the Ordo could study and experiment on it. Thanks to Imperial intelligence,[1a] the Shadow Hawks were aware that Braun'wa was on his way to the Hive and they attempted to complete their mission before the arrival of the Commander.[1c] However Braun'wa and his forces of two Crisis Battlesuit Teams, led by Aye'hal and Shas'ui Bork'hal,[1b] reached the Hive before the Space Marines were able to take the pupa from the Royal Stingwings.[1c] Time was now of the essence for both sides, as Braun'wa had to stop the Shadow Hawks before they could escape with the pupa, while the Space Marines had to complete their mission before the T'au Empire could send a larger force against them.[1d]

Unfortunately for the Commander, his strike force entered the battle in a piecemeal fashion, instead of as a united front.[1c] Aye'hal's Team was the last to arrive[1d] and by then, Braun'wa and the rest of his forces had been slain by the Shadow Hawks.[1c][1d] Only the Royal Stingwing Mal'bas remained, but together they were able to keep the Space Marines at bay and killed several members of Tactical Squad Butastur. which were closest to the pupa. The losses caused the squadron to retreat and with that the Space Marines had run out of time to complete their mission. The Shadow Hawks then made their escape and the pupa was saved. When the battle was over, only one of Aye'hal's Crisis Team members remained alive, though the identity of the survivor is not known.[1d]

Trivia

Braun'wa and his forces were created by the Games Workshop employee Marc Raley. They were featured on an older version of Games Workshop's website.[1b]
