Black Throne
The Black Throne is a Drukhari device recently under construction within Commorragh.[1]
History
Developed through their covert dealings with the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Black Throne is a xenos reconstruction of the Golden Throne and like its predecessor seeks to control access to the Webway. Upon its completion, the Drukhari under Archon Shae-Morvain of the Kabal of the Still-Living Knife hope to use it to cease the endless Daemonic invasions and dysfunctions that have erupted across Commorragh since the formation of the Great Rift. Like the Golden Throne, the Black Throne would require a powerful Psyker to operate and Inquisitor Erasmus Crowl speculates they will create a twisted clone of the Emperor to do so, for the Drukhari are not a race of psykers.[1]
During the intervention of Erasmus Crowl, his retinue, and the Custodian Navradaran into the Mechanicum's dealings with the Drukhari, many of the xenos working on the Black Throne project were killed and associated complexes destroyed. Moreover, the genetic samples provided by Fabricator General Oud Oudia Raskian in order to clone the Emperor had been eliminated. Whether this will halt the project is unknown.[1]
