Blackskulls
The Blackskulls are an Ork Tribe, which were once led by Boss Magzthrull.[1]
History
They took part in the Third War for Armageddon, where the Blackskulls overran the Hemlock Cordon near Hive Acheron.[2] Magzthrull also led the Tribe in attacking the city of Palonious. It was already defended by elements of the 141st Armageddon Steel Legion, due to city containing the vital Averneas forge complex, but the Regiment became ravaged, by the Blackskulls' constant attacks. This led the Salamanders Captain Su'than to be sent to Palonious, with a force from his Chapter, to ensure that Averneas did not fall to the Ork Tribe.[1]
The Salamanders had just arrived though, when the Ork Tribe launched a full-scaled assault. As the attack wore on, a breach appeared in the city's defenses, which allowed Magzthrull to lead a sizeable force through it. However, Su'than led a counter-attack against the Ork Boss and he personally killed Magzthrull in personal combat. The Captain then took the Boss' skull as a trophy, which still adorns Su'than's power armour to this day. The loss of their leader was not enough to demoralize the Blackskulls though and the Xenos continued to pour into Palonious through the breach. But due to a plan enacted by Su'than, the invading Blackskulls were killed and the 141st sealed the breach. While the battle continued for sometime afterwards, the Ork Tribe were held back by the Imperials and the Blackskulls eventually retreated from the city.[1]
