The Blades of Atrocity are a Night Lords Warband.
History
Commanded by Dalchian Rassaq, it was originally subordinate to a larger Chaos alliance under the Crimson Slaughter Lord Thelissicus and in a desperate weakened state.[1a] Thelissicus' constant abuses caused Rassaq to leave the Thelissicus, determined to forge his own destiny and rebuild the depleted Blades of Atrocity.[1b] During their raids they formed an alliance with the Abyssal Kindred under Sorcerer Lord Leil Jathok, securing the Black Ship Vitreyu and its stock of captive Psykers.[1c] After this victory Jathok betrayed Dalchian, but the Night Lord was able to anticipate this and captured the Sorcerer within a Stasis pod.[1c] In the aftermath Dalchian had also secured a Gene-Seed cache to rebuild the Blades of Atrocity and declared war upon Thelissicus.[1d]
