"A thriving Industrial world, Branx Magna is the most densely populated in the Moebian Domain, its teeming billion manning its continent-spanning manufactorums night and day."[1a]

Some of the world's brackish polluted waters are home to sump leeches. They are harvested for pharmaceutical value and also eaten as food in some of the poorest communities.[1b]

Much like Branx Magna, Branx Minor is a world of industry and manufacturing, forges and mining.[1d] The world has multiple moons that are mined for resources and forges to process said resources.[1e][Note 1]

Noble House

The world's ruling noble household is known as Van Sparzi,[2d][3] also spelled Van Sparsii.[Note 2] This house pursues schemes to supplant Atoma Prime as the capital of the sector. Some of these nobles have attempted to sabotage and destroy infrastructure in Tertium in the hopes that it would eventually lead to the elevation of Branx Magna to becoming the throne world of the Moebian Domain.[11]

Three decades ago, a disaster occurred in Tertium's Iron Collar, a major train and ventilation hub, when a fusion reactor went critical. A portion of the Ring was annihilated, turning that portion of the hive into the lawless warren it is today, known as the Calamity Zone. Agents of the Van Sparsii orchestrated this catastrophe in an attempt to shut down the ventilation of the entire Snakestack, and thus choking the industrial domes of Tertium Hive. Known only to themselves as Veridian Spear, these agents are still in the area and seek to use the massive train Forgefather to finish the job.[11]

Moebian 53rd

The Moebian 53rd "Steelheads" are Branx-born and stalwart defenders of the Moebian Domain, bolstered by the supplies from their industrious home.[4] The Steelheads, as they are known, are currently led by Commissar Darinda Dukane.[5]

History

Main article: Moebian Domain

In M35, Darktide incursions from the Moebian Fringes pushed all the way into the Moebian core worlds and almost destroyed the Moebian Domain. An unspecified Imperial force arrived and aided the frontlines, eventually fragmenting and pushing back the invaders.[2e]

Since M35, Branx Magna has seen steady growth alongside the rest of the Moebian Domain. Formerly a vassal world, Branx Magna was granted status as part of the Moebian Domain in M38.[2c]

In M41, Branx Magna's population and gross industrial output has expanded. The world's industrial importance in the system now rivals that of Atoma Prime.[2d]

Trivia

  • Note 1: It is currently unclear whether Branx Minor is a planet or moon in the Branx Magna's star system. Imperial and Mechanicus nomenclature might indicate the former.

Conflicting Sources

  • Note 2: The spelling of the ruling noble house of Branx Magna has inconsistent spellings between the Wrath & Glory book and the in-game mentions of the house from Darktide itself.
