History
Cadia's Hand was assigned to a defensive assignment in the Cadian System and carried the Cadia 22nd regiment. The 22nd were to report to Lord Creed himself upon arrival. It was at an unknown point in the Segmentum Solar, far away from the Cadian System, when it made its jump into the warp in 892.M41.[1a]
The ship never reached its destination, instead it was fused into a space hulk later dubbed as Olethros by the Grand Master Belial of the Dark Angels space marine Chapter. The ship was then boarded by the Deathwing and was found infested by genestealer broods. No members of the 22nd were found, only the corpses of the ship's tech-priests and servitors were ever discovered.[1a]
Genestealer cultists onboard attempted to use the ship's archeotech engines to push the space hulk into the gravity well of a nearby planet to force the Dark Angels to lose their foothold, but members of the Deathwing managed to cripple the ship's engines, before beginning a purge of large nests of Tyranids within the ship. The Deathwing used an auspex to gather more information on the space hulk before departing Cadia's Hand to explore further into the Olethros.[1a]
Cadia's Hand was presumably destroyed entirely upon the space hulk's destruction by the Dark Angels.[1b]
