Calana VII is an Imperial Death World.[1] The planet was subject to a disasterous attempt to re-seed life following Virus Bombing during the Reign of Blood when Rogue Traders operating under the Genetor-Biologis of the Adeptus Mechanicus chose to introduce Slasher Beasts as the apex predator. The Slasher Beasts subsequently bred rapidly and slaughtered all forms of life they came into contact with – rendering the planet a Death World.[1]
The Slasher Beasts of the planet are now used as game by wealthy aristocrat hunters and Space Marine chapters looking to test their new recruits.[1]
