Cannibal Cult
Cannibal Cults are Cults whose members eat the flesh of their fellow Humans.[1][2]
Description
These can be created during food shortages, which lead the Cults' members to resort to cannibalism in order to survive. However while Cannibal Cults eat the dead,[1] they will also kill other Humans in order to survive as well.[1][2] Some can be driven mad by their hunger though, and become crazed hordes that constantly need to eat. When such an incident occurred on Thracian Primaris, the Cannibal Cult hordes scoured Hive Ferax's entire population. Once they were done, the hordes then left the Hive in search of more prey for them to devour.[2]
There is also a chance that a Cannibal Cult may be sponsored by the Thousand Sons Traitor Legion in order to awaken Daemons or that it is even a Genestealer Cult.[1] Other Cannibal Cults, meanwhile, actively worship Chaos and some ritualistically consume Human flesh in order to summon Daemons.[3] Ogryns are also capable of forming Cannibal Cults as well.[4]
