Carrefiefdom
The Carrefiefdom was a Human empire in the Occluda Noctis, that had survived the Age of Strife. During the Great Crusade, the empire was brought into Compliance by the Imperial Fists.[1]
History
By the time they encountered Imperial forces, the Carrefiefdom consisted of 3 Systems. When one of the fiefdom's worlds detected the arrival of Imperial Fists warships of the Night Crusade, they were overjoyed at encountering another Human civilization and made contact with the Legion. This quickly led the Carrefiefdom to peacefully join the Imperium and soon Iterators and Compliance teams accompanying the Imperial Fists, were dispatched to the empire's worlds.[1]
Before the Imperials left to continue the Night Crusade, the Carrefiefdom told them of another nearby Human empire. Known as the Damareen Consensus, they were not spoken of highly by the Carrefiefdom, who stated that their oldest records accused the Damareen of betrayal (although the details of that betrayal were lost to history). Thanks to the Carrefiefdom's description of them, the Imperial Fists were easily able to identify the Damareen's worlds when the Legion's warships entered their Systems.[1]
