Night Crusade
The Night Crusade was an Imperial Crusade, during the Great Crusade and took place in the region of space known as the Occluda Noctis.[1c]
History
The Primarchs Dorn, El'Jonson and Fulgrim would take part in the Crusade and commanded each of their Legions in the conflict[1b]. The first battle would taken place on Scathia, whose leadership refused to join the Imperium. Due to the world's position, Scathia was ideally suited to become a gateway world for the Imperium to funnel troops and resources into the Crusade as it ventured into the Occluda Noctis[1c]. To ensure the Night Crusade could proceed, the Primarchs invaded Scathia[1b] and brought the world into Compliance shortly afterwards. With Scathia now in their hands, the Crusade fully began with a larger invasion of the region. While the Carrefiefdom welcomed the Imperium with open arms, the powerful interstellar Human empire dubbed the Damareen Consensus resisted the invaders. To invade such a large area of space, reinforcements were provided from the Luna Wolves under Horus himself. Horus proved a mediating force between Dorn and Lion El'Jonson, advising that each of the four Primarch's pursuing their own strategy to subdue the region.[1b]
The war later ended in a victory for the Imperium. Dorn's efforts during the Night Crusade would later be a key reason, why the Emperor chose the Primarch to defend Terra, after He retired from Great Crusade and left Horus in command of the Crusade.[1a]
