Cartis IX is a world of the Imperium.[1]
A raiding force of the traitorous Legio Vulcanum obliterated a force of the Avenging Sons Chapter, who had sworn to defend the manufactorums of Cartis IX, blasting away the heavy fortifications they had retreated to into powder and crushing the Space Marines within beneath their armoured feet.[1]
