Overview
| Location of the Charadon Sector.[6] |
The Charadon Sector has long acted as a breadbasket and armoury for much of Ultima Segmentum due to its abundance of mineral-rich planets, gas giants, Agri-Worlds, and ore-bearing asteroid belts. Metalica alone is able to produce enough guns, aircraft, and ammo to equip dozens of Crusades.[5a] Equipment that can be found in the sector includes Recoil Dampeners, Suspensor Gyros, Capacitor Loader, Auto-targeting System and the Skyfire Interception System.[5x] With such industrial capacity it is unsurprising it is often called the Iron Sector.[5a]
History
The Sector has been a hotbed of conflict for millennia, as its worlds are plagued by Orks, Eldar pirates and Chaos Cults. In the wake of the Noctis Aeterna (Early M42), the Charadon Sector and the nearby Forge world Metalica, came under relentless attacks from the Death Guard forces of Typhus - Battle was especially protracted in the Chromyd System, now the Chromyd Front.[2][3]
