Clan Borrgos
Clan Borrgos, known as the "Will of the Omnissiah" is one of the ten active Clan Companies of the Iron Hands. It is currently recognized as the 7th Company.[3]
Overview
A Reserve company, unlike Clan Sorrgol whose job it is to protect the Medusan Reach as a single fighting force, Borrgos rarely fights as a single unit. While the Iron Council claims this is a result of the Codex Astartes calling for a Reserve Company to reinforce the Battle Companies, the truth is more complex. While the Iron Council is correct in its interpretation of the Codex, in truth Borrgos is distrusted by the Iron Council since the Moirae Schism. The Clan is closely monitored by the Father of Iron and they never take to the field without a representative of the Chaplaincy present. Since the formation of the Great Rift, Father of Iron Ranek Varth often assumes command of any strike where Borrgos are ascendant, and has been to known to order purges of their ranks. While many others may call for their complete culling, the Iron Hands instead view Borrgos as a flawed machine in need of repair. The Iron Council continues to maintain hope that the technology used to create Primaris Space Marines may be used to nullify any lingering weakness or corruption within the Clan.[3]
Perhaps because of the distrust towards them, the warriors of Borrgos rise to their duty as no other. Some seek transfer to other companies but others simply do so out of pride. The Battle-Brothers of Borrgos know that they can only hope to absolve themselves of their taint through unrelenting service and victory.[3]
