Cluggan
Sergeant Cluggan was one of the initial founding members of the Tanith First and Only regiment.[1a][1b]
He is described as big and grey-haired. Cluggan was popular with the men, and considered dependable by Ibram Gaunt.[1a][1b] He was also known to have been an amateur military historian.[1c]
Biography
On Blackshard, Cluggan took part in the raid on a Chaos citadel and was in the vanguard with Colonel Corbec.[1a]
On Voltemand, Cluggan took part in the counter-ambush against the World Eater Traitor Marines who were threatening the Ketzok 17th Armoured Regiment. Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt ordered Cluggan to take six men and scout out Pavis Crossroads to make sure it was in friendly hands. He completed this without incident.[1b]
During the assault on Voltis City, Cluggan was given command of a considerable number of the Ghosts, to attack the secondary objective: the Western sanitation outfalls. After the assault on the primary objective failed, due to the cultists flooding the tunnels, Cluggan succeeded in his objective and blew away a hundred-meter section of the city's curtain wall. While making their way back through the Bokore Valley, they were shelled by the Ketzok 17th Armoured Regiment under orders of General Noches Sturm. Cluggan died in the barrage.[1b]
