Colchisian Satrapy
The Colchisian Satrapy was the Word Bearers Legion's domain, during the Horus Heresy.[1]
History
The Word Bearers' Homeworld, Colchis, was included in this and it became the target of a vengeful Crusade launched by the Iron Hands. While the Traitor Legion threw countless hordes of militia and fleets of Fire Ships at the Iron Hands, nothing stopped their advance. By 271010.M31, the Shattered Legion had already sacked a dozen systems in the Satrapy's outer sphere. In response, the Word Bearers began a massive reinforcement campaign, which saw the Legion withdraw its forces from distant worlds, in order to defend the Satrapy's heartlands. They also began harvesting their Fief Worlds for resources, which included the Forge World Milhand. However, the Word Bearers' efforts failed to defeat the Iron Hands[1] or other invading Imperial forces and Colchis was later destroyed in 032.M31, during the Great Scouring.[2]
