Crucible (Leagues of Votann)
Crucibles are cloning technologies utilized by the Leagues of Votann.[1]
All organic Kin derive from these devices, and all Kindred derive from the same Crucible. Crucibles are extremely important to each Kindred, and these ancient devices are defended by oath-sworn orders of the Embyr.[1] When new Kin are birthed from a Crucible, they are usually already mostly grown.[2]
New generations of Kin are only birthed at the whims of the Crucible's controlling Ancestor Core, and it is sometimes difficult to predict when such events will take place, though the Kin believe it to be a judgement by the Votann based on future needs. When Crucible and their Ironkin equivalent Forge spawnings do take place, most Kin celebrate and express gratitude to their Votann.[3a]
The Crucibles themselves are overseen by the Cloners Guilds.[3b]
