Eight Days of Infamy
The Eight Days of Infamy was an event that took place during the Fifth Sphere of Expansion of the T'au Empire. During the initial campaigns of the Expansion, forces of the Fourth Sphere of Expansion exhibited unrestrained violence toward non-Tau alien species, both the indigenous lifeforms of the worlds being colonised and their own alien auxiliaries.[1][2]
Exact details of the event are not known other than that Fourth Sphere forces were responsible for the death of many non-Tau lifeforms.
The Eight Days was among multiple violent events which caused great consternation to the Tau leadership. Several Tau Commanders were subjected to the ritual punishment of Malk'la. Some among their number were also returned back to the Empire for re-education.[1][2]
