Eikos Lamiad was a member of the Ultramarines during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy. One of the four Tetrarchs of Ultramar, Lamiad was a senior officer of the Legion who ruled the world of Konor.[2][3] In addition, he held the position of the Primarch's Champion.[2]

Biography

Lamiad attained his rank due to his superb performance during the Ghennai Cluster Campaign.[3]

At one point in the Great Crusade, he was badly wounded in the defence of Bathor, losing one eye and a large portion of his skull to aeldari shrieker rounds. It was thought that his injuries were severe enough that he would have to be interred within a Dreadnought to keep fighting, but the skilled Mechanicum elders of Konor managed to rebuild his body without resorting to this.[2]

During the Battle of Calth, Lamiad was a key loyalist commander, leading in a wave of reinforcements after the Word Bearers' initial assault and fighting alongside the Dreadnought Telemechrus.[1]

Lamiad was later part of Guilliman's fleet of reinforcements as it rushed to aid the loyalists in the Siege of Terra.[4] He led Ultramarines forces in the Retaking of Luna, the first battle of the Great Scouring.[5]
