Erod is a world of the Imperium that was brought into compliance during the Great Crusade.[1]
History
Prior to the coming of the Imperium, the people of Erod, the Ranknar, worshipped a deity also called Ranknar, a god of blood and warfare. Worship of Ranknar was promulgated by the goreov priesthood with the priesthood's leader, known as the Incarnadine or the Great Goreov, effectively ruling the planet.[1]
When Erod was brought into compliance, the priesthood was abolished and many of the surviving Ranknar were deported to other Imperial worlds.[1]
