Venikov

Venikov was a pre-Imperial city located on the planet Erod.[1]
Known among the ranks of the Ranknar Blood-Guard as the Bloody Bastion, despite having over a hundred thousand defenders the city fell when Erod was brought into compliance by the forces of the Imperium during the Great Crusade. This defeat forced the last remnants of anti-Imperial resistance on Erod to retreat south to make their stand at the Red Citadel of Romistad.[1]
