Excoriator (Ship)
The Excoriator is a Strike Cruiser in service with the Night Lords.[1][2] It is the sister ship of the Covenant of Blood.[2]
History
The Excoriator is known to have been active by the Horus Heresy, being part of the Night Lords fleet that took part in the Thramas Crusade. It escaped the Night Lords' catastrophic defeat by the Dark Angels and eventually reunited with a contingent of Night Lords vessels commanded by First Captain Jago Sevatarion. Notably, while the Night Lords' primarch, Konrad Curze, was in a comatose state, his body was housed aboard the Excoriator.[1]
Many millennia later, the Excoriator was part of the Legion fleet assembled to attack an outpost of the Callidus Temple on Uriah III. While in orbit of Uriah III, the Excoriator led an attack on Uriah's Imperial Navy defence fleet. It was responsible for capturing an Endeavour Class Patrol Cruiser (which was drafted into the Legion's fleet under the name Faithless Song) and destroying its escorts.[2]
