Overview
A far-travelled people, they embark on explorations and adventures with compulsive determination. While other Leagues may dispatch large Prospects or Oathbands into the void to bring back resources and knowledge, the Farsail of Thryk Kindred are entirely voidborne and ever on the move. Their Hold is an entire fleet of huge ships complete with fortified city, mining, and factory vessels escorted by heavy warships.[1]
Sometime prior to their pursuit of Tyranids, Need's Gaârd violently seized a mining commune on the feudal world of Ghorrad. The site was atop a rich vein of rare crystalline thendrite. Hâvyr coolly fended off the companies and mercenaries sent by the Potentate of the region. Assessing the weakest link, he fired on a group whose poor equipment and discipline made them an easy target and caused a mass rout to ripple through the rest of the mercenaries.[1]
At some point, the Farsail of Thryk Kindred began stalking the Tyranid splinter fleet Typhon, and have continued to pursue it for some years. For some time their Prospects scouted ahead of the bio-ships' advance, sometimes eliminating those vanguard organisms already present on worlds in the xenos' path, such as within the green ice ravines on the moon of Vurlich. They have become adept at recognising the unwholesome physical markers and eerily similar glyphs and sigils of Genestealer Cults.[1]
