O'Vesa, also known as Stone Dragon[2] is a skilled T'au Battlesuit pilot and a member of The Eight, Farsight's elite honour guard. He is in fact not a Shas'vre at all, but an old Earth Caste colleague of Farsight kept alive by microdrones of his own invention.[1]

History
O'Vesa was an old colleague and supporter of Farsight and gained infamy during the Arkunasha War. After the Damocles Crusade he joined with Farsight directly.[2] When Farsight went into self-imposed exile after the incident on Arthas Moloch, O'Vesa became a leading member of the new Elemental Council of the Farsight Enclaves and studied the mysterious blade Farsight had left behind.[3]

Upon Farsight's return from exile many years later due to the Tyranid threat, it was O'Vesa who first recognized his old comrade at a war museum trying to reclaim his personal Battlesuit. O'Vesa told the disbelieving museum staff that the visitor was indeed who he claimed to be.[4a] During the subsequent war against the Tyranids, O'Vesa and a team of Earth Caste scientists were able to develop a genetic phage that killed any Tyranid that consumed infected biomass, halting the invasion.[4b]
Wargear
O'Vesa goes into battle in a heavily modified XV104 Riptide with an Earth Caste Pilot Array. It is equipped with an Ion Accelerator, twin-linked Fusion Blasters, a Riptide Shield Generator, two shielded Missile Drones and many support systems such as an Early Warning Override and stimulant injector.[1]
