Fourth War for Armageddon
The Fourth War for Armageddon was fought in M42 and was a continuation of the Third War for Armageddon, which began in late M41.[1]
History
It was marked by the arrival of an Ork Speedwaaagh! led by the Speedboss Wazdakka Gutsmek, whose invasion left the Imperium's forces on Armageddon in dire straits. Worse still, Gutsmek was just the speartip for the main Greenskin horde that the returning Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka was personally leading to the besieged world. In response to his foe's imminent arrival, the Astra Militarum Commissar Yarrick sent out a desperate plea off world for further reinforcements from the Imperium. This was answered by more than a dozen Space Marine Chapters, who formed the Operation Imperator coalition to help defend Armageddon from the Orks' renewed invasion.[2]
