The God of Many Mouths was a massive Necromundan Chaos Spawn, that was worshiped by a Hive Primus Helot Cult.[1]

History

They dwelled deep within the Hive Bottom's Sump Sea, upon one of a series of islands known as the Aquila Archipelago. There, the Helot Cult not only built a base and a fleet of ships, but also a large temple dedicated to the God of Many Mouths. The Cult would attack anyone who neared their island and one such group appeared in the aftermath of the Great Rift's creation, which had caused a great upheaval to sweep across Necromunda. Led by House Escher gang leader Jelena, a fleet of ships from Sump City had become lost as their crews and passengers fled for their lives, after the city was overrun by mutants, creatures and Chaos Cultists. The survivors now sought a way to get to the Hive Primus' upper levels and it was thanks to the steering of the veteran Sump Spider hunter Ismur Blackwater, that led them to the Aquila Archipelago which contained such an entrance.[1]

However the survivors were unaware that the God of Many Mouths' Helot Cult dwelled there, until the Cultists fleet were spotted by Jelena, just before they were going to attack her ships. The Chaos Spawn also took part in the battle, as it was chained to a ship as its worshipers launched attacks or boarded the Sump City fleet. When the God of Many Mouths' ship crossed the path of Jelena's flagship, the Sump Queen, Blackwater steered directly into it, despite the gang leader telling him to avoid the ship. The resulting crash splintered the Chaos Spawn's ship, but the God of Many Mouths was among its crew that escaped aboard the Sump Queen. There it wreaked havoc and killed anyone that crossed the Chaos Spawn's path. Blackwater would have been among them, but just before the God of Many Mouths crashed into him, Jelena speared the Chaos Spawn with one of her flagship's Harpoon Guns. It was left unable to move, which gave Jelena time to order Blackwater to steer the Sump Queen hard to port. The spider hunter did as she asked and this sent the Chaos Spawn hurtling off the flagship, where it then destroyed several Helot ships before demolishing the defences of the Cult's island. The God of Many Mouths' path finally stopped after the Chaos Spawn crashed into its temple, leaving it mostly dead. Jelena's survivors then stormed the Cult's island and seeing this, and the remains of their dead god, caused most of the Helots to flee. Those that did not were quickly killed by the survivors, who now possessed the island.[1]
