Golden Demon

This article or article section is based on entries to the Golden Demon competition such as those featured on White Dwarf, or similar public events showcases (e.g. exhibits at Warhammer World and local GW stores, Armies on Parade, Warhammer Championships, etc.) published by Games Workshop. These showcases regularly feature miniatures and content submitted by hobbyists, and as such, their content may or may not be in contradiction to established background lore.

Golden Demon 1999 Winner, Jakob Nielsen, holds aloft the Slayer Sword^[5]

The Golden Demon competition is a miniature painting and modelling competition run by Games Workshop.^[1] The best-of-the-best at each competition is named the overall winner and presented with the legendary Slayer Sword.^[1] The first Golden Demon was held on June 27 1987.^[2] Until 2014 Golden Demon was held at the same time as Games Day.^[3]
