Gorgomire is a Feudal World in the Segmentum Tempestus.[1]

History

The planet has an unremarkable history, with the most interesting fact being that it was brought into the Imperial fold during the Great Crusade by the Dark Angels.[1]

One night, during the tithe period, Inquisitor Loramon Valir arrived at the planet, suspecting it to be controlled by a Genestealer Cult. He entered Castle Grimheart by atmospheric insertion from a Valkyrie, landing on a battlement with his retinue. He soon discovered both a Genestealer Cult and a Chaos Cult active on the planet, and coincidentally met Inquisitor Sythra Min of the Ordo Malleus who was investigating the Chaos Cult. Both joined forces to continue cleansing the cults.[1]

Culture

Gorgomire's culture is particularly unremarkable, being similar to many other worlds across the Imperium. The populace is highly religious, to the point of superstition, leading them to safely avoid looking at the Warp Storm known as Annihilus that roils nearby.[1]

Gorgomire is led by a Governor-King, the most recently known of these being Archimayn XII, who is associated with a brotherhood of knightly nobility known as the Order of the Wyrm. However, the Order is in fact a Genestealer Cult.[1]

Additionally, Gorgomire hosted a Chaos Cult as well.[1]

Geography

The planet's surface is covered in fens and dark forests, over which mist sometimes forms.[1]
