Loramon Valir is an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor who investigated a Genestealer Cult on Gorgomire.[1]

Biography

Compared to other Inquisitors, Valir is more subtle, preferring to engage in investigations quietly rather than utilising grand shows of splendour and intimidation. Valir is not a Puritan, but does not explicitly place himself in the Radical camp either.[1]

The Gorgomire Question

Entry in Valir's journal, about Gorgomire[1]

Believing that the planet Gorgomire hosted a Genestealer Cult, Valir and his retinue infiltrated the palace of Governor-King Archimayn XII, aiming to confront his court magister, Bargo Xathus, whom Valir suspected could lead them to the Order's Patriarch.[1]

The Inquisitor and his retinue arrived by aerial insertion from a requisitioned Valkyrie under the cover of night, during Gorgomire's tithe season. They journeyed further into the Castle, killing guards that stood in their way, eventually encountering Genestealer Cultist members of the order of the Wyrm.[1]

Within Xathus's chamber, Valir encountered Inquisitor Sythra Min, who had just killed Xathus with a plasma pistol. She had been sent to investigate a Chaos Cult on Gorgomire, found that Bargo Xathus was a member, and had discovered that there were two rival cults on the planet. Both Inquisitors resolved to work together to cleanse the planet of taint.[1]

Wargear

Valir wields a Xenos archeotech relic gun, which silently shoots energy beams, as well as a power rapier. To descend from the Valkyrie on his mission on Gorgomire, Valir and his retinue used grav-harnesses.[1]
