Grav-plates are a form of human technology commonly used in various voidships. Grav-plating emits a gravitational field that is typically set to standard gravity suitable for baseline human tolerances.[1]
If malfunctioning, grav-plates give off a tell-tale shivering hum, and are hazardous terrain or potentially improvised traps. The grav-plating of voidships can exert 20 times that or more.[1]
