Haphax Mitranda
Secutor Haphax Mitranda is a Skitarii commander from the Forge World of Hephaesto, who became the Field Commander for the Forge World's Primary Forge, Node Primus, when it was invaded by Orks.[1a]
History
However while they attempted to lead Hephaesto's forces against the Orks of the Tekwaaagh! and the Freebooter Badrukk, they could not fight as they wished. This was because the Forge World's commanding Tech-Priest Dominus Ronrul Illutar, arrogantly thought of the Orks as nothing but tool wielding animals. This led the Dominus to underestimate the Xenos and when the Orks did not attack his pre-arranged ambush locations, Illutar refused to alter his battle-plans[1b]. The Dominus was convinced his strategy would work and repeatedly counter-manned Mitranda's orders when they attempted to bypass it. This prevented the Secutor from ordering the idle ambush forces to areas where the Orks were actually attacking Node Primus' defenses. Because of Illutar's ineptness, the Forge's outer walls were breached by the Orks and Mitranda was forced to order a retreat further within Node Primus.[1a]
