Headtakers
The Headtakers are one of House Krast's insulated Chivalric Orders.[1a] It is solely composed of Krast Knights, who have destroyed a Chaos Titan of the hated Legio Mortis.[1b]
House Krast's hatred of Legio Mortis dates back to the Horus Heresy, where their former allies aided in destroying Krast's Knight World, Chrysis. Since then, Mortis has become the House's greatest enemies and a Krast Knight who destroys one, joins the Headtakers. A Chaos Titan's destruction is greatly triumphed by the House as well and the lead up to a Knight becoming a Headtaker, is met with days of feasting. Sacraments are also given to their Knight suits and prayers are made to the Omnissiah. This later all ends with a magnificent ceremony in the Knight's honour and they then join the Headtakers. This Chivalric Order is held in the highest esteem by House Krast and they are considered to be mighty heroes. The Headtakers themselves are a rarefied group of forge bonded companions, who train together and hold their own rituals. The Chivalric Order is also given permission to wear the symbol of a broken Legio Mortis Death's Head on their Knight suit or tabard.[1b]
