Hearthfire
The Hearthfire was a Salamanders warship, that was used by one of the Legion's Pyre Wardens cadres, during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]
History
During the Great Crusade, its crew was among the Pyre Wardens cadres, that aided their Primarch Vulkan's efforts to revive the out-favored Saturnine Terminator Armour. As a result of this, the Hearthfire's Wardens were equipped with a number of prototypes and variant Saturnine armours. When the Horus Heresy began, its cadre was among the Pyre Wardens who answered Vulkan's muster, before the Salamanders attacked Isstvan V. However they had not yet deployed from the Hearthfire, when the Traitor Legions began the Dropsite Massacre. As it unfolded, Vulkan ordered the Hearthfire and other undeployed Saturnine-equipped Pyre Wardens to escape, before the Traitors could claim their armour.[1]
