House Hermetika was a Knight House of the Imperium active during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1a]

Overview

Based on the world of Kaldeia, the House was allied to the Forge World of Mezoa and battled alongside them during the Age of Strife. House Hermetika fielded large numbers of well-maintained Cerastus Pattern Knights thanks to their ties with Mezoa, though Hermetika were not vassals to the Forge World but instead allies. Over the centuries the Knights of Hermetika and Tech-Priests of Mezoa grew more alike, with the strange ascetic and meditative practices of the Knight House slowly infiltrating the rites of Mezoa's Cult Mechanicus. The House's own mythology talked of a "perfect being", which the Sacristans eventually interpreted to be the Omnissiah (and eventually, the Emperor of Mankind).[1a]

During the Heresy, they remained loyal to the Imperium and defended both Mezoa and their homeworld of Kaldeia from the forces of Horus.[1a] They are also known to have fought beside Legio Ignatum in the Battle of Beta-Garmon.[2]
