Overview
Because the politics of Illium's region lean towards the organicist, the Forge Moon favours Genetors who make up most of the Forge Moon's authority structure.[1a] This has also led Illium to specialize in biological technologies and Forge Moon's Biologus have become famous for their refinement of Titan crew mind link technologies.[1b] Its menial workforce, though, is mostly composed of immigrants from the other worlds and moons of Illium's system. They are charged with engineering the bodies of servitors and cyborganic automatons, along with working the Forge Moon's vat labs and culture mills.[1a]
Corpora Mons is Illium's religious district and administrative capital. The black and baroque metropolis, contains an endless amount of greasestacks and cooling towers, that spear upwards and is spread across the Forge Moon's equatorial bulge. Within the heart of Corpora Mons is the gargantuan Artellus Cathedra, which is Illium's centre of worship and it contains Illium's largest Omnissiah shrine as well. Because of its spiritual significance, the cathedra is protected by an honour guard of two hundred skitarii and four orbital defence lasers, that are each housed in one of Artellus' steeples. It is also defended by the Warlord Titan Mortis Maximus, which stands outside of the cathedra's giant adamantium doors. The Maximus is one of a quarto-legio that has been permanently loaned to Illium from the Legio Invictus[1b] and they watch over the Forge Moon's most important installations.[1a] The Titans are housed in a massive complex that lies to the east of the Corpora Mons and they have all also been equipped with Illium's mind link technologies.[1b]
History
The Forge Moon has now been hit by one of the coordinated rebellions that has struck its system. This has been done by Illium's menial workforce, who have used their knowledge of its workings to wreak havoc on the Forge Moon.[1b] They have also been able to strategically attack and disable all of Legio Invictus' quarto-legio that were stationed on Illium.[1b][1c][1d] Though the Forge Moon has a legion of Skitarii at its disposal as well, they have been unable to defeat the rebels.[1b]
