Krork
The Krork were a hardy, green-skinned species created by the Old Ones to defend their last of their strongholds against Necrons as well as the Warp Entities which threatened the Old Ones' existence (including Enslavers). The Krork were the only one of the young races to escape the Nightbringer's fear of death.[1]
The Krork are also remembered by the Eldar Harlequins for having been fearsome foes at the apex of their might,[3] and an un-named Necron Lord from Naogeddon remarked upon their spread throughout the galaxy as being as plentiful as the Humans.[4]
Trazyn keeps a Krork specimen in his collection, with mountainous shoulders.[5] This may be the same creature as the twelve-metre-tall Orkish monstrosity with an exoskeleton and complex internal organs serving as armour far in advance of Imperial battleplate which which Fabius Bile saw within and speculated may have been a Krork.[2]
Notes
Based upon the similarity of name and the confusion of Fabius Bile, the Krork are speculated to be the Orks. If this were to be true, it would complicate the Ork legend of the Brain Boyz which names the intelligence-enhanced Snotlings as the progenitors of Orks and Gretchins and not the Old Ones.
It is speculated, based upon the size of the Prime Orks, the nature of Ork's growth, and the comparative size of the specimen within Trazyn's collection that the Krork may be a suppressed more mature stage of Ork development.
