Lord Kakophonist
The Lords Kakophonist are Noise Marine Chaos Lords in the Emperor's Children Traitor Legion who expertly wield sonic weaponry.[1]
Overview
Lords Kakophonist represent the absolute pinnacle of their kind, and it is said that they can detect mystical acoustic vibrations that exist in fluctuating dimensions within the Warp. Few Noise Marines can reach such an apotheosis of sensitivity, and this allows Lords Kakophonist to lead other Noise Marines into battle.[2]
Surgically sculpted and empyrically warped to a greater extreme than standard Noise Marines, the flesh and armour of Lords Kakophonist have grown into whorls and membranes that focus and distort sound waves. Strange phenomena gather wherever they go, such as rhyming whispers, painful spikes of noise, and echoes of unease that are infused with lascivious portents. Their doom sirens are melded irrevocably with their flesh and armour, magnifying and twisting every sound the Lord Kakophonist makes. From the whir of their armour to their own breath to even their own heartbeat, everything is projected in a non-stop aural barrage that thrums out from them.[2]
The constant songs of Lords Kakophonist are tinged by the Warp and the daemonic. This noise weakens physical matter, shaking the barrier between the Materium and the Warp itself. In battle, their songs can shatter bone, fortress walls, and flesh. Besides their doom sirens, they also go into battle with screamer pistols.[2]
