Lucanis System
The Lucanis System is a uninhabited system in the Segmentum Obscurus.[1]
Located in The Periphery of the Calixis Sector, the system only contains the shattered remains of its previous worlds barring a single Gas Giant, KW-9. The gas giant orbits a guttering white dwarf called KW-80104 which is slowly consuming or destroying everything in the system.[1]
The system is plagued by powerful and unpredictable gravity tides that sweep through regularly, spreading the debris of the former planets and moons further into the void. Deadly radiation storms scour everything in sight. There are pockets of radiation so strong that they can strip a voidship of its shields and armour of anyone unlucky enough to get close. Vast, roaming clouds of particulate matter, pulverized moons, shattered debris, and possibly the disintegrated works of some ancient civilization linger here and there, nearly invisible and ready to shred anything unlucky enough to pass through.[1]
Vox communication is nearly impossible, as those frequencies not completely scrambled by the radiation storms and dust clouds are drowned out by the screams of the dying star.[1]
